This is the second hand-painted Moomin mug. Earlier Arabia sold 8 000 numbered and hand-painted Home Moomin mugs. However, the amount of Moomin Arabia x BEAMS Japan Moomin mugs produced remains unknown. 

The artwork for the mug was inspired by Arabia’s first Moomin mugs made in the 1950’s, which featured illustrations made by the author Tove Jansson. This mug is Teema shaped, unlike those made in the 50s. This mug combines the designs from both Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden mugs, that were launched over 70 years ago.

BEAMS Japan x Moomin Arabia mug was only sold at BEAMS stores in Yokohama and Tokyo, Japan.
