This 2025 Moomin’s Day Moomin mug was launched on Moomin 80th Anniversary. The artwork for the mug was drawn from the very first Moomin story Moomins and the Great Flood.
The mug features the special Moomin 80th Anniversary stamp on the bottom. It was only sold on August 9th 2025.
Did you know that a Moomin character called Tulippa only appeared in the first Moomin book? The other characters on this mug are Moominmamma, Moomintroll and Sniff.

Tove Jansson was born 9th of August 1914, this is the reason that Moomin Day and “Moomin birthday” is celebrated on the same date. The first story was written in 1945.
