Arabia winter Moomin mug 2023 was designed by Tove Slotte before her retirement. It shares the same color scheme with some of the earlier winter mugs. This pink and pastel winter mug trend was started by Spring Winter mug in 2017.
The illustration for the mug as inspired by ”Moomin’s Winter Follies” book. A similar Moomin bowl was launched simultaneously with the mug.

Winter mug 2023 leak
A small patch of Sliding moomin mugs was accidentally sold to too early, before Arabia published it in Prisma stores in September 2023. Mugs were sold for a couple of days. The official launch date was set one week later for 6th of October 2023. Prisma is a finnish hypermarket chain belonging to S group. They have been a Moomin mugs retailer for a long time.
