Arabia Moomin mug Tove’s Jubilee was launched to celebrate 100th Anniversary of Tove Jansson (1914-2001), the creator of the Moomins. Arabia’s Jubilee series also has three different sized jars in it.
The artwork for the mug is from a Moomin picture book “Dangerous Journey”. Some other Moomin characters have been added to the design from elsewhere, these characters are Mymble, Thingumy and Bob, Snorkmaiden and Snufkin.
Tove’s Jubilee with glasses
Fun fact: Every sixth Tove’s Jubilee Moomin mug has glasses inside the mug. Those mugs are called Tove’s Jubilee with Glasses. The version with glasses became immediately worth slightly more and is nowadays much more valuable than the one without.
