Arabia Moomin mug Journey was made to celebrate Finnish airline carrier Finnair’s 100th anniversary. The mug’s artwork was inspired by a very relevant Moomin story, where Moominpappa is taking a journey to the King’s 100th birthday party.

This limited edition Moomin mug was sold only in selected locations in Scandinavia, Japan and moominarabia.com. The production quantity is unknown.

Parvati Pillai

Arabia’s Journey Moomin mug is the first one designed by Parvati Pillai. The new design team was announced after Tove Slotte’s retirement. The earlier mugs were designed by Camilla Moberg and Tove Slotte.

Parvati’s illustration was inspired by Tove Jansson’s book “Exploits of Moominpappa”. The other characters joining Moominpappa for his journey are Hodgkins, The Muddler and The Joxter.
